In this post will use CF-Auto-Root made by Chainfire to gain root access on Android devices. Not only CF-Auto-Root can do Rooting against the Android Devices, but still much more to do, such as RootGenius, iRoot, KingRoot, MobileGo, Kingoroot, One Click Root, and SRSRoot, these tools are designed to perform several functions such as Rooting, flash ROM, flash Kernel, Remove Ads in Apps, Booster Device, Uninstall Preinstalled Apps, Remove Bloatware, Unlock Screen, Download ROM and others.
Some Tools at the top will require a PC to a place they walk, if you do not have a PC, you can do Rooting on your Android device without a PC, an application that you can use for Rooting Without PC is KingRoot Mobile, 360Root Mobile, iRoot Mobile, RootGenius Mobile, Key Master Root, Kingoroot Mobile, TowelRoot, and FramaRoot.
All right, go straight to the point, namely Root Samsung Galaxy S4 Devices using CF-Auto-Root, follow the steps as below:
Preparation:
Stage Flashing CF-Auto-Root:
(The command will bring your Samsung Galaxy S4 device into Download Mode)
Caution: Make sure your Samsung Galaxy S4 device is connected properly to the computer so that the computer can recognize or detect the presence of your Samsung Galaxy S4 device.
Optional: You can also verify if you need it, whether your device is actually already Rooted or not using the application Root Checker.
As I said in the first paragraph concern, if Android Samsung Galaxy S4 you do not allow it to do Rooting using CF-Auto-Root, then you can do it through CWM / TWRP Recovery Mode. To do this, follow the step by step below.
Preparation:
- Make sure your Samsung Galaxy S4 have a battery 30-50% to do the Rooting process.
- Prepare a USB cable to connect your Samsung Galaxy S4 device to your computer.
- On your Samsung Galaxy S4 device, turn on USB Debugging Mode and OEM Unlock.
Stage Flashing CF-Auto-Root:
- Download and install Samsung Android USB Driver on your computer, which serves to enable the computer to recognize your Samsung Galaxy S4 device.
- Download and install 15 Seconds ADB Installer tool on your computer, whose function is to allow you to enter into Download Mode your Samsung Galaxy S4 automatically.
- Download and extract the file CF-Auto-Root for Samsung Galaxy S4 on your computer:
- After you extract the files CF-Auto-Root, you will see several files as below.
- Now connect the Samsung Galaxy S4 device to your computer using a USB cable.
- After that, you need to enter into Download Mode, to do so, open a Command Prompt on your computer, and then type the command: adb reboot download
(The command will bring your Samsung Galaxy S4 device into Download Mode)
Caution: Make sure your Samsung Galaxy S4 device is connected properly to the computer so that the computer can recognize or detect the presence of your Samsung Galaxy S4 device.
- If everything goes smoothly, it will display the message
Warning
on the screen of your Samsung Galaxy S4 device. In this situation press Volume Up to continue. If you want to cancel this process, press the Volume Down button to restart your Samsung Galaxy S4 device.
- If you choose to continue, then there will be writing
Downloading
on the screen of your Samsung Galaxy S4 device.
- Now open the file Odin3 on your computer, Odin3 will detect your Samsung Galaxy S4 device if your device is properly connected using the USB cable. If Odin3 successfully detects your Samsung Galaxy S4 device, then there will be a message
Added
in the message field.
- After that, now click on the button AP or PDA existing in Odin3 application, and then navigate to the file CF-Auto-Root.tar.md5.
- After that, now click on the Start button in Odin3 application to make the process quick Rooting on your Samsung Galaxy S4 device using CF-Auto-Root.
- Now you just need to wait how fast the Rooting process is completed, so that you see the message
Pass!
on the green box as shown below, indicating that the device Samsung Galaxy S4 You have successfully Rooted.
- Once the flashing process is completed, then the Samsung Galaxy S4 your device will reboot automatically.
- Once the yor Samsung Galaxy S4 device restart, you will find the application
SuperSU
on your Samsung Galaxy S4 application menu as in the picture below.
As I said in the first paragraph concern, if Android Samsung Galaxy S4 you do not allow it to do Rooting using CF-Auto-Root, then you can do it through CWM / TWRP Recovery Mode. To do this, follow the step by step below.
- Requirements: Make sure USB Debugging Mode and OEM Unlock Samsung Galaxy S4 device is turned Enabled.
- Download and install Samsung Android USB Driver on your computer. (Skip this step if you have already done so)
- Download and extract the file Odin3 Downloader on your computer as a tool to do Flashing Custom Recovery (CWM/TWRP) Recovery on your Samsung Galaxy S4 device.
- Download file Custom Recovery (TWRP/CWM) Recovery on your Samsung Galaxy S4. Customize with your Samsung Galaxy S4 device model.
- To do Flashing TWRP Recovery on your Samsung Galaxy S4 device, follow the steps in How To Install CWM or TWRP Recovery And Rooting Samsung Galaxy S4 Devices.
