Scatter in android is a file that is used to describe block partition map on Android devices running ARM architecture MediaTek. Typically, SP Flash Tool requires Scatter to perform flashing on android devices that use MediaTek chipset. Scatter vary depending on the type of CPU and the filesystem used mobile phones. Select scatter that suits your phone in order to avoid things that are not desirable. Or you can create your Scatter file own using MTK Droid Tool, to make it, follow the steps below.
If your Android device is undergoing "Boot Loop", you can choose a suitable Scatter file to your device below.
- Make sure you have a smartphone device chipsets from Mediatek.
- On your Android device, turn on USB Debugging Mode.
- Turn off Anti-Virus on your computer.
- Download and install Mediatek (MTK) USB Driver on your computer.
- Download extract MTK_Droid_Tool.zip file on your computer.
- Now connect your Android device to your computer using a USB cable.
- After that, run MTK_Droid_Tool (MTKdroidTools.exe).
- Wait MTK_Droid_Tool detect your device.
- If the device has been detected, now click on the "Blocks Map".
- Then a window will appear Block info, now click on the button "Create scatter file".
- Choose the location or folder where the file "MTxxxx_Android_Scatter.txt" will be saved.
- Now you have your own Scatter Android file and ready for use.
